About
Hi. I’m Stacia.
It’s nice to meet you.
That’s STAY-sha. It rhymes with Croatia. Here’s a video, in case that’s helpful. A former manager once avoided speaking to me entirely rather than just asking. Don’t be that person.

The short version
More than just editing.
Twenty years. 70+ clients. Fortune 500 brands and debut novelists, breaking news on deadline, brand campaigns, and a few content libraries that had run completely amok. I’ve edited all of it.
I started my career as a webmaster because tech was supposed to make us all rich with Y2K on the horizon. Unfortunately, I didn’t become a billionaire, but I learned how systems fit together, which may be more valuable. I’m as comfortable untangling a CMS workflow as I am untangling a paragraph.
Here’s the part I’m extra proud of: I finish things. I read to the last line, I catch what everyone else skimmed past, and I keep your voice sounding like you the whole way through. That’s my superpower—not that I have the time but that I have the eye.
Poor communication costs more than people think. A confused customer, a message that doesn’t land, a great idea buried under clumsy words. My job is to get out of the way of what you’re actually trying to say and make sure none of it reads like a robot wrote it.
The Whole Point
You’ve got the ideas. I’ll do the rest.
You’re free to focus on more of the work that made you start this thing in the first place.
How I work
Your voice stays yours
The tools can generate words all day. What they can’t do is sound like a person. I keep your voice on the page—sharper, but unmistakably yours, with no sign of AI.
A light touch
Good editing doesn’t leave fingerprints. I fix what’s broken so smoothly you’ll mostly notice that it suddenly works, not that I was ever there. I’m a ghost in your documents.
Read to the last line
I’ll actually read it. Closely, all the way through, the way your reader will. I’m a completionist by nature; I don’t skim, and I don’t leave things half-finished.
What sets me apart
Formally trained.
Practically obsessed.
My education includes a BS in Computer & Information Sciences from Niagara University and professional certificates in Marketing and Editing from UC Berkeley. Yes, I’m a formally trained tech-savvy editor—not a writer who kinda has a knack for it.
But credentials only tell part of the story. The rest is 20+ years of hands-on work with 70+ clients ranging from major brands like Mercedes-Benz and King’s Hawaiian to solo entrepreneurs building their practices from scratch.
What my experience has taught me: I don’t just make your content read well. I understand your workflow and how your content fits your bigger business picture. I find what’s broken and fix it, whether that’s a typo, a formatting inconsistency, or an entire content workflow that’s quietly costing you hours every week.
“Her attention to detail kept me on my toes. Time and again she’d find not just mistakes but inconsistencies in messaging. Her advice during high-pressure situations was invaluable.”

Digital Growth Leader
Editorial Expertise
Formally trained across copy, line, developmental, and substantive editing. AP, Chicago, house style.
Marketing Strategy
Content that’s clear isn’t enough. It has to connect to your business goals and reach the right people.
I work in whatever tools you use—WordPress, Google Suite, Asana, Canva, Kajabi, to name a few—and I’m quick to learn the rest. Don’t see yours? Need a recommendation? Just ask.
Why work with me
Not a big agency.
Just me. Dedicated & responsive.
I’ve spent my career across industries, audiences, and types of content. Now I bring that same experience directly to founders, small teams, and authors—without the agency overhead.
From a quick copy edit to a complex content project, every assignment gets my full attention. I bring editing, strategy, and project-management experience to the table so you can focus on what you do best.
A fair amount of that work arrives through other people (designers, agencies, and consultants) who hit the point where a client needs something they don’t provide. If that’s you, here’s how partnering works.
“Supportive, encouraging, and prudent—she’s behind her writers 100% and fully supports her clients too. She strikes that balance with grace, good humor, and an impeccable eye.”
—Christa Avampato,
Product Leader & Storyteller
Off the clock
When I’m not fixing other people’s content…
Reading: Usually more than one book at a time, absolutely no shame about it. Possibly on our roof.
Concerts, puzzles, and lists: Yes, I make lists in my downtime, too (which is exactly why your content project will never be disorganized). I’m that person.
Traveling: Possibly to a mountain winery or a cooking class in Florence. And preferably by train.

I live in Baltimore, Maryland, with my husband, Mike, and our very opinionated tuxedo cat, Mia, who shares her thoughts about everything, invited or not.
One More Thing
I also love editing fiction—19 full-length manuscripts and counting, plus short stories, novellas, essays…
A couple of novels went on to sell to Hollywood (one’s a film now; the other’s in the works).
It’s some of my favorite work.
But enough about me—
it’s your turn.
Tell me all about you and your content challenges. I’d love to hear them.
